2. What We Do
RentBear is a rental discovery and matching service for the Netherlands. We watch the major Dutch rental websites and alert you when a home matching your search appears, and we help renters find people to search or live with.
RentBear is not a real estate agent, a broker, a letting agency or a property manager. We do not own, list, let or manage property, we are not a party to any tenancy agreement, and we take no commission from renters or landlords.
3. Contact
Email support@rentbear.co for anything — support, billing, privacy, press or legal notices. You can also use the contact form, which reaches the same inbox. We aim to reply within one working day.
4. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If something has gone wrong, tell us first at support@rentbear.co — nearly everything is resolved that way, and quickly.
If we cannot resolve it, you can get free, independent help. Consumers in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU can ask the European Consumer Centre in their own country, which handles complaints against traders in another EU country (eccnet.eu). Consumers resident in Estonia can apply to the Consumer Disputes Committee (ttja.ee). We are not obliged to participate in proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and, as a rule, do not.
The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025 and no longer accepts complaints.
For data protection complaints specifically, see section 8 of our Privacy Policy — you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate, the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the supervisory authority where you live.
5. Liability for Links and Listing Content
RentBear aggregates listings published on other websites and links out to them. Those pages are the responsibility of the sites that publish them; we do not control their content and cannot guarantee that a listing is accurate, still available, or genuine. If you find a listing on RentBear that is fraudulent or unlawful, tell us and we will remove it.
6. Intellectual Property
The RentBear name, logo, site design, copy and software are the property of Hi Bear LLC and its licensors. See section 4 of our Terms of Use for what you may and may not do with them.
